MIR is a Bergen-based architectural visualization studio founded 25 years ago by Trond Greve Andersen and Mats Andersen, who remain best friends and partners leading one of the world's most influential visualization practices. Operating from their studio tucked between mountains and fjords, MIR has created the distinctive "MIR style" characterized by rich atmosphere and evocative natural settings. Working with prestigious international clients including Snøhetta, BIG, Dorte Mandrup, Heatherwick Studio, and Ricardo Bofill, MIR emphasizes "natural visualization" that uses the inherent qualities of architecture and sites to express distinctiveness. Their approach focuses on creating images that transport viewers to different places, showing rather than telling through extensive sketching phases and unconventional visualization methods. The studio's mission is to make brave architects into stars while creating the most iconic images in architecture today.
