Nephew Studio

About

Nephew LLC was established by Sonder Thomsen, Vukadin Backonja and Yilip Kang in 2012 after meeting in graduate school at UCLA's Masters of Architecture program. With a passion for the discipline of Computer Graphics, photography and film making along with their formal training in Architectural design, history and theory, Vukiadin, Sonder, and Yilip decided to embark on a career producing artwork for architects. Naming the studio "Nephew" was a way of acknowledging the studio's relationship to Architecture, and as a reminder that we are "in the family." Since Nephew's founding the studies has worked on scores projects with many clients. Projects range from large masterplans for global, well established architectural firms, all the way down to small public projects for solo practitioners, artists and designers.
