Three Marks
About
Three Marks is a Portland-based architectural visualization studio founded and led by Mike Golden. With a background in both philosophy and architecture, Mike brings a unique narrative sensibility to every image he creates—balancing emotional resonance with design precision. At the core of Three Marks is a simple belief: most decisions are made in the moment before we realize we’re making them. The studio’s imagery is crafted to speak to that subtle, intuitive space—helping clients shape perception and spark connection. Mike’s work has helped sell over $3 billion worth of architecture, launched startups, and supported rebranding efforts for Fortune 500 companies. His images have been featured in leading architectural publications, and his influence extends beyond client work through lectures at universities and global conferences. Before founding Three Marks, Mike served as Art Director of CGI at DBOX and was the in-house visualist for Thomas Juul-Hansen. He holds a philosophy degree from the University of Chicago and a Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. When not working with clients, he explores personal visual projects under the pseudonym droquis. And while there are no actual Marks at Three Marks, Mike won’t mind if you call him that.
