Studio Diode is a Zurich-based digital visualization studio founded in 2022 by David Klemmer as an independent satellite dedicated to digital images alongside his architectural practice. Klemmer studied architecture at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum and Technical University in Graz, later teaching image-making at the University of Liechtenstein and ETH Zurich, and has been working in Zurich since 2012. David Klemmer works as a digital photographer, constructing and staging virtual scenarios in collaboration with renowned architecture offices. The studio considers the digital image both as a subject for representation and as a generator - an instrument for architecture. Studio Diode collaborates with an impressive roster of Swiss and international firms including Valerio Olgiati, Miller Maranta, Sergison Bates, and many other leading architectural practices, emphasizing precision and narrative enrichment over mere beauty in their visualization work.
